I mostly eat vegan. I don’t have a scale but even for a one-person household, it feels impossible to forage everything for an entire day, especially in Amsterdam.
But it would be nice if I could make it a habit on finding herbs for cooking, and tea more regularly. If I preserve them properly, hopefully they last a long time.
However, I like the idea of having very few (maybe not more than one) special meals in a year where everything is foraged or self-grown. To honour our ancestors for whom every meal was like that, and to appreciate our easy access to food nowadays!
