Hi Esther, I actually like the 40% extracts as you remove constituents which are drawn to water and also others drawn to alcohol. So a balance. I have not used Oak for very much other than rinses as I am not very attracted to the smell of the extracts but you have some fun experimenting with different extracts and researching different uses. Dyes, rinses, eating the acorns (if brave and happy to leach them several times – not my idea of fun..).
