I agree, it is really difficult and I don’t think it is feasible for us all to go forage so much from urban areas each day. I find it easy to forage enough, over the year, to be able to dry / pickle / store enough local plants to be able to include something each day, into my diet. But it may be a tea one day, a pinch of local sage the next, or it could be frozen berries in a smoothie or a piece of Acanthus from a local spot, which I wrap and keep in the fridge to help with burns in the kitchen.. So many opportunities to use a little all the time!
There are times of plenty and times of sparsity also. So good to be prepared for them and see what we like before the times of plenty here (which tends to be May – June).
The thought of Italy is so appealing!!
