As I ran into loads of very ripe and abundant looking hawthorn and elder berries yesterday, I feel an irresistible urge to make something with them now :p
And I have a question about using other types of ‘honey-like substances’, for example agave syrup. I think for now I’ll just use honey but it would be good to know for the future: is there a difference in how well they extract the constituents from the berries compared to honey? (If anything is known about that..?) I think Marisa also experimented with different types of vegan honey substitutes right? What is your experience?
