I don’t have a scale, as a lot of people mentioned, but since I eat mostly plant-based I would guess that I go through quite a few vegetables– maybe 2 pounds or so? (a little less than a kg?). This might be skewed, though, since I am a very fruit-heavy eater, and spending most of my life in California’s spoiled me with a large selection of imported fruit. That would probably be something to cut down on, although fruits like papaya and mango might be painful to part with.
I’m not entirely sure if this is feasible to forage locally– it seems like it would be particularly time-consuming and also not too great for a light harvest, especially with the minimal green space in an urban area like Amsterdam.
