hi all, i live in weesp, soon to be officially part of amsterdam. almost everything i know about foraging has been imprinted via the nature walks with Lynn, albiet a few years ago….. frankendael park as well as somewhere near sloterdijk….. I have since gotten my own moestuin, and established my private forageable plants (is there such a thing?). I have cultivated a now thriving) comfrey patch after many tries, as well as an angelica patch which is now running me over (what riches, i know not what they need). am trying to find out where my daslook wants to thrive (currently in 5 spots – tho the one under the apple tree is doing the least good). Nettle has it’s own mind but i can forage this also from my “slot” as well as a persistent blackberry. further i have cultivated a couple types of Elder in the last two years, but not yet harvested/foraged from either.
Yarrow oh yarrow, I am trying to keep it happy outside in pots at my house for my personal use. they are all over the place on the Lange Muidenweg as well as many other forageables. the garden club considers yarrow invasive (as well as daslook and comfrey)…. they are all over the place on the Lange Muidenweg but there is too much traffic along these berms… I will make a point to map them out for you all friendly foragers at some point once i can be sure i am marking the right plant (aha there is the crux).
