Interesting about the clearing out the bee hotel each year. I just leave mine for many years but anticipate that over time they will need a bit of a top up. When the bees are no longer keen on my bug hotels, other creatures will be loving them for different reasons 🙂 I hope you have an opportunity to take the bees with you soon!
