Hello! My name is Greer and I am from Sydney, Australia. I am a chef and I love fermenting and preserving and discovering new ingredients to make tinctures. In Sydney foraging is widely practiced (at least in my circles). I worked at a cafe called Cornersmith and we ran mushroom foraging workshops in Autumn, my workmates and I would often forage for fennel flowers, figs and fig leaves (with permission), at Cornersmith we also had a trading system where customers could trade their excess produce for coffee or pickles. I got to know lots of the things that were growing in our neighbourhood and beyond. There were also local foraging workshops run by Diego Bonetto (https://www.diegobonetto.com/wild-food-map).
I moved to Amsterdam two months ago and have noticed so many wild plants and want to know more about identification and what I am allowed to forage and where the best places to do this are.
