Right outside of my house are several Maple trees. I know the syrup is delicious, but it would be weird to harvest that from those trees. I thought the rest of the tree was not that interesting foraging wise, but this is what I found:
The inner bark can be used by drying it and grounding it into flour. And also use it in tea. You can use the leaves by putting food into it during the baking, to preserve food or also use it in tea. The seeds can be eaten. (I never tried this but it sounds interesting, apparently you roast them and eat it as a snack.
The wood is quite popular to use in for example making furniture.
There is pigeons living in it quite often. And cats fighting. They are cut like balls, a bit funny (knot esdoorn).
There is also walnut tree growing not too far away where I go to to collect the nuts, and Hawthorn that I just collected some berries from.
