I made salve of calendula and comfrey. With infused almond oil and beeswax. I had already made them a while ago, so this post was a good reminder for me to check how they looked and if I think they are still good or whether I have to dispose of them.
Unfortunately, the picture that was mentioned in the blog seems to be disappeared. But I checked them out and they look, smell and feel like they are supposed to. Some are still in vacuum jars, so I will leave those as the others seem ok as well (I made way too much that time, rooky mistake)
I remember from the making that I heated it au bain marie, to make sure it was heated slowly and not too hard. I also remember that it became solid quite quickly, so I had to get it from the glass bowl into the jar quickly. I tried first to do it in a glass unit that was more easy to poor from, but then it became solid too quickly.
I would also love to try the recipe with ghee, so will do that next time!
