Hertshooi – I wonder if you mean Hypericum calycinum or a different plant? The Hypericums (even the shrubby garden species) are really interesting plants. I grow Tutsan (Hypericum androsaemum) and use it as a tea (leaves, flowers). The berries are bunches of seeds more than berries on my plants anyway, and easy to remove if not wanted. Maybe something for the garden when your child is bigger? It’s an antidepressant, liver and digestive herb, and lacks the photosensitivity issue that Sint Jan’s Kruid contains.
