Midsummer 2025 is just around the corner!
I will try to stay up from dawn to dusk this year, and enjoy forage some lime blossom on that day!
I may bring some snacks and hot water to enjoy snack and lime flower tea under the trees. I really love lime trees!
Activity 1.
We have a tradition of eating ”octopus” around Midsummer in Osaka, Japan.
It is said that people eat octopus to desire that the root of rice will grow and spread widely and strongly like legs of octopus.
Midsummer is the timing for planting rice and we have a lot of yummy octopus around Osaka area…it might be the reason…
But my family doesn’t have this tradition.
