Hi Lotte,
Some people do get fined here, and some people forage really irresponsibly. In any case we need to be aware of the situation. I know that ecologists and landscape planners are always wary of deliberately planting edible things in streets giving the idea we can all go out and forage it. This is sensible anyway, and similar to why I don’t label all of the plants that grow in the orchards. It is adding risk to the people who advertise it (as edible or useful), and there is so little control over what happens next. So it will take a big focus on urban edibles, urban food security, and a lot of bravery from these people, before we see it happen – I think anyway 🙂
