Hi Everyone,
This is Erkan, started urban herbology course this week and just read the foraging module / ethical foraging. I’m from Bodrum / Turkiye and I’ve been foraging there in winters since my childhood. It’s not illegal there, indeed quite popular in the villages; it’s a kind of way of living. There are of course many delicious Mediterranean dishes prepared by the wild plants.
I’m living in the Netherlands for ten years. It’s great to get to know the plants here and forage – it’s not legal but tolerated up to 250 gr in some places.
I’m very happy to be here, in UH, and looking forward to meeting you!
