If it is not there already, sounds like anyone bringing in comfrey could be introducing a new plant to the Island, and that often causes ecological problems. It loves deep rich soil, as you say. What is the soil like in Aruba? I just checked and it grows in the tropical regions of Australia. Maybe she would be interesting to contact at some point? I am trying to find someone growing it in Venezuela, which is closer to Aruba, but no luck yet – will keep looking, maybe in Spanish 🙂
