Hi everyone, Marye (‘Mary’) from Haarlem! I’m getting my 2024 off to a good start and plan to actively engage with the UH apprenticeship.
I don’t know much about the foraging scene here. A while back I used to see people foraging berries in the area near the Veerplas.
At least it appears to be accepted practice here, even if not technically legal. I came across the same source Bogus mentioned above from the city’s (former) ecologist saying it’s permissible to forage in public spaces. There is a new ecologist apparently so perhaps worth confirming with the gemeente one of these days.
