Great to read your thoughtful observations about the overwhelm of too strong a rose flavour. I’d be interested to find out the substitutes for rose, which are used in the food industry. Like you, I’m also certain that many of the things we can buy, containing rose or rose fragrance, have little to do with the real rose. The scent of a real rose, at the plant, is intoxicating and triggers very specific reactions in our self. Totally different to the feelings from some rose products.
