I looked up about “Apothecary’s Rose (Rosa gallica ‘Officinalis’)”
It is classic rose used by herbalists throughout Europe in Middle Ages.
It’s deciduous shrub. The flower has semi double petals, golden stamens and light crimson in color with beautiful scent. Early summer bloom and followed by small, oval red hips in autumn.
It holds the RHS( Royal Horticultural Society in England) Award of Garden Merit.
There are lots of roses in Amsterdam. I try to find Rosa gallica!
