My kitchen scale batteries died today (classic), so I couldn’t weigh my veggies. But, my answer to this question is…probably a fair amount. I’m vegan and love fruit and veggies, so I eat a lot of them.
The more I learn about foraging, the more impossible it feels to sustain a diet based on foraging alone. Wildcrafting is also showing me how important the act of growing/gathering, preparing, and storing food has been historically.
I’m excited to learn more about supplementing my diet with foraged foods. I made a rose hip syrup today——my first foraged-then-crafted edible experience!
